Popular culture is constantly changing and is specific to a place and time. Popular Culture, which is commonly known as Pop culture, is the vernacular (people's) culture that prevails in a modern society.

The content of popular culture is determined largely by the industries that circulate cultural material. cultural material includes the film, television and publishing industries, as well as the news media. However, Popular culture can not be described as just the combined product of these industries. Instead, it is the result of a continuing interaction between the industries, and the people of the society.

Popular culture is also the products and activities that have mass appeal and wide accessibility. Popular culture includes consumer goods such as fashion items, entertainment, fast food, and communication such as movies, comics, music, illustrated newspapers and magazines. Popular culture has sometimes been characterized as 'Low Culture', which is the opposite of 'High Culture'.
